My sound works with lucid, but not karmic. My motherboard is Asus M4N78 Pro. Found this when googling for the problem: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=52643&sid=6ceafc0ef388adb38224e386a0676767&start=15#p304120 So this is a "feature", when using motherboard with an HDMI output. --
