I have not yet upgraded to 12.04. Still using 10.04LTS.
I purchased another modem - Huawei K3565 (Rev2) - and this worked first
time. I then disconnected the K3565 and plugged in the K3520 and it worked.
Occasionally I still have problems: "Enable Broadband" is not availa
"Huawei K3520 (Vodafone)" is now listed as a supported device.

I've had this working with a
modprobe -r uhci_hcd
modprobe uhci_hcd
It then shows 4 ttyUSB devices and a usb mass storage device
Haven't tried usb-modeswitch yet.
