Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
After logging in, the desktop is setting up, when the screen blanks, followed by two lines printed on the screen about i810_wait_ring receiving one address or number and expecting a different one. After a few seconds the screen would then return to the login. In an effort to get around this, I would switch to tty1, log in, and type: "startx -- :1" in order to get to the desktop. This would sometimes fail as well, upon which I would type: "startx -- :2" and then I would be able to use my desktop.
