Public bug reported: due to the problem for not adding a CDROM in synaptic, I was looking around what's happens. I took the CDROM(DVD) into the dev, and looks about what appears on "mount" to show what is mounted. It looks like this : /dev/sr0 on /media/ISO-TOP type ..... synaptic tells : E: Failed to mount the cdrom
The same procedure in ubuntu 9.10 goes well and shows : /dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom/ISO-TOP type ..... synaptic can mount the cdrom The ISO-TOP is the universe-package for ubuntu10.04 from my dealer. To try an entry in /etc/fstab such this one : dev/sr0 /media/cdrom0 auto rw,user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0 results in a very unstable behavior. Hope this helps for find the reason hans schneidhofer ** Affects: fuse (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- synaptic cannot read the universe DVD's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/599734 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
