My ubuntu update manager is showing no updates for firefox. however i
would like to bring it in your notice that i have set the updates to
be of "important security " and "recommended " only (missing out
"pre-release updates" and "unsupported updates") so is it why my
firefox is not uptodate.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. The animation appears to be a
flash element. Could you please try this with the latest Firefox updates
and let us know if it is still an issue?
