Fresh install of Kubuntu Edgy Eft Beta 1 on Notebook (1400x1050). I haven't the bootsplash. On the grub line I have somethings like that /boot..root=/dev/hda1 ro quiet splash I've try to set some vga=(800x600, ecc) but the bootsplash doesn't work. -- [edgy] no shutdown

The shutdown usplash uses /etc/usplash.conf as well correct? I had a period where I didn't have a usplash display as well when shutting down, however, my computer would go into a sleep state almost, and wouldn't shutdown. I take it your shutdown is normal, just without a usplash? ** Changed in: us
