Public bug reported: After the latest batch of updates (c. 4 July NZST), obex over USB is not connecting to my Nokia 6120C mobile phone. This is affecting libsyncml- utils, obextool and libsyncml0. (The latter is not a Lucid library, but I'll mention it anyway.)
All three packages will work properly over bluetooth. When running the command sudo syncml-ds-tool -u 0 --slow-sync text/x-vcalendar Calendar --identifier "PC Suite" the following appears in dmesg: [ 4715.020026] usb 5-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 9 [ 4715.193255] usb 5-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 4715.208340] cdc_acm 5-2:1.8: ttyACM0: USB ACM device [ 4715.214199] usb 5-2: bad CDC descriptors [ 4715.223583] usb 5-2: bad CDC descriptors Kernel version: 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 11 07:54:58 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 2.6.32-23.37-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 log of lspci -vnvn is attached Curiously, I had been running the current kernel for some time (manually installed - see bug 562742), without this issue occurring. The bug may possibly not be in the kernel but something else, but I can't see any upgrade that would have caused it, unless the kernel headers are in some way responsible - the 2.6.32-23 headers weren't installed until today. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- obex over usb not working - Lucid 2.6.32-23 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/601552 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
