I can't reproduce this, can either of you do so? If so, can I see the

For me its the same, I also diesabled the composite extension
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 fglrxinfo
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 9200 Series DDR Generic
OpenGL version string: 1.3.1091 (X4.3.0-8.28.8)
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose
and:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so.1 fglrxinfo returns:
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: MOBILITY/RADEON 9250/9200 Series DDR Generic
OpenGL version string: 1.3.1091 (X4.3.0-8.28.8)
So there is some problem with loading libGL.so.
