@paul cooke: your problem has a different origin. could you please file
a seperate bug about it? and attach the files again. The problem is that
kubuntu-desktop is currently not upgradable at all so it
main.log

got this same error message today attempting to upgrade from a freshly
updated Dapper to Edgy (as in, I'd just fully updated it and rebooted to
get everthing properly in)
