Seth Chandler, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD
images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

I am still having problems. HP Pavillion dv9000 with Nvidia MCP67. No
sound and No Ethernet. The both worked once after installing updates
following a fresh install. after rebooting i have been unable to get
the Nvidia Sound And Nvidia Ethernet working. This is a definite

Thanks, Seth. I have added myself to audio group, so sound works on
2.6.32-24. The problem could be related probably to update script or
update process.

Actually, this appears to be a bug with permissions, I had to add myself
to the audio group. I'm not sure what's causing it, but it doesn't
appear to be kernel related.
