The same bug was reproducible in Ubuntu 10.04, as I use the new version of
gcalctool(5.31.1). I think the upgraded version of Gcalctool, with the new UI
has this problem. I followed the steps given in the comment above, and
gcalctool crashed, but as told above if I had some value in the clipboa
@unnilenni: That's not what I'm seeing: I can ctrl+c and ctrl+v just
fine, I'm only seeing a crash after a ctrl+v without there ever having
been a ctrl+c (clipboard is empty, or non-existent, or undefined, or
whatever).
This issue still exists for me after having updated to
gcalctool_5.31.6-0ubunt
I have the same problem. Each time I copy some number with ctrl+c and
paste it with control+v it crashes. Also, if I select some numbers and I
paste them by clicking the middle button, it pastes more than one
clipboard position.

There is another bug, #605602, which states the doublepasting of the
selected text and after that the clipboard text -> that could be the
cause for point 5. -> trying to paste the item from the empty clipboard.
