Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.32-23-generic
I run Ubuntu 10.04 ******* Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release: 10.04 ******* Problem is with kernel and ALSA modules: **************** linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.32-23-generic: Installed: 2.6.32-23.16 Candidate: 2.6.32-23.16 Version table: *** 2.6.32-23.16 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ***************** I recently updated kernel from 2.6.32.22 to 2.6.32.23 I have EMU 0404USB audio card. It worked well with 2.6.32.22 kernel after I installed linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.32-22-generic package. Now, after kernel upgrade (and yes, I installed linux-backports-modules- alsa-2.6.32-23-generic package) any attempt to connect EMU card results in system hung.
