Also, on a somewhat related note, ldns-1.6.1/dnssec_verify.c:227 does not check the return of ldns_resolver_query() which can return NULL, potentially (and in my case) resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. The error in my case is the result of sendto() returning -1 in ldns_udp_send_query()
