remove all old awn and awn-extras packages before installing the testing
ppa (don't know whether ubuntu's package manager is smart enough to
detect this)

This problem occurred on my computer this morning. I have all the latest
standard updates. The crash was reported after waking from sleep.

not seen this for a day or two now.

I am notified of the crash after sleeping. So I assume it is during the
sleep or resume process that it is crashing. I can't remember if it also
happens when it goes to a forced hibernate (for example the battery is
completely exhausted).
