As wierd as it may sound it seems it seems this problem solved itself somehow somwhere between Beta and Final . With that beeing said bug squashed . The final release works like a charm on the machine with 196 MB of RAM despite the fact that it doesn't use the swap partition. -- edgy live cd

Note that Safe Graphics Mode would not work because of bug #59618. And your swap file would not be used because of bug #62868. That said, the issue, as you described it, doesn't seem to be related to video driver problems, nor to your scarce amount of RAM (*): none of these would make the

i don't belive that to be a reason not to boot at all. If i am not mistaken the live cd also may use a swap partition if it finds one. And that sistem has one of about 760 MB .And besides.. one of the other systems i tried edgy live on had 128 MB and it worked ;) so... i don't think that's the
