I have investigated my issues a bit further.
The crashing of the X-server:
I have X11vnc running through Xsetup (Thus before login)
If I disable this, the X server doesn't reboot anymore.

I forgot to mention that I've had no hardware changes since lucid, when
everything was working fine, and this bad behavior started a week or so
