Hardware platform: Compaq Presario CQ61 OS: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx Package version: 2.4.5~git20081126t100229-0ubuntu3 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 02) The download speed reached a max of 3 Mb/s, using the same platform with a Fedora Core 12 (64) the download speed reached 94 Mb/s, downloading the same file from the same remote server. The pervious versions of ubuntu had the same problem on this platform.
