This has also been confirmed with Kubuntu 6.10 beta. Note that it occurs
both with the x386 version and the AMD 64-bit version (desktop cd for
both). I have not tried the alternate install cd.

The following bug reports seem to be related in the fact that they are
all receiving the same bios message either when choosing to start or
install. The message is:
PCI: BIOS Bug: MCFG area is not E820-reserved.
PCI: Not using MMCONFIG

I can partly confirm this. I get this same error on my Compaq v2410ca
laptop however unlike the reporter of this bug, I can boot fine.
It seems that the problem is cosmetic for me only.
