submitter confirms that this was a local installation problem. Viewing DVB-t streams requires the ffmpeg plugin, which cannot be included into main for political/legal problems. Sorry about that, but thats another issue. Feel free to open a separate bug about this. ** Changed in: xine-lib (Ubuntu)

Oh dear! it was that I was missing a codec package (libxine-extracodecs) ! This is so bad that I must install additional codecs to watch dvb-t :( -- [EDGY] terratec cinergy t2: no audio! https://launchpad.net/bugs/61290 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https:

before reinstalling, you could also try the live cd, e.g. knot 3 -- [EDGY] terratec cinergy t2: no audio! https://launchpad.net/bugs/61290 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

hm. TBH, I didn't try xine for dvb, but kaffeine. Did you try to use kaffeine for dvb? -- [EDGY] terratec cinergy t2: no audio! https://launchpad.net/bugs/61290 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I don't know! Simply there is no audio! for instance, using kaffeine, I can play a .ogg file from the example files with audio, but dvb has totally no audio! (windows has audio, so the device is not broken) What du you suggest I can do? I put xine-lib because I think that dvb is handled by xine-li

please recheck on your side. I just verified on an i386 sony vaio laptop on a recent edgy that there is both video and audio in kaffeine. -- [EDGY] terratec cinergy t2: no audio! https://launchpad.net/bugs/61290 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/m
