This is not fixed, I'm having EXACTLY the same issues as Thiago... My
system:
Ubuntu 10.10-32bit (Linux 2.6.35-generic)
CPU:Pentium M (centrino) 1.73 Ghz
Mem: 1GB
Video: ATI Radeon X700XL
Also, fresh install, no proprietary drivers, tested with compiz on,
compiz off, xcompmgr on, xcompmgr off.
This bug still affects me on Natty, on those same machines.
To reproduce it:
$ cd /usr/share/doc/python-clutter/examples
$ python custom-actor.py
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (ClutterActor)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (ClutterAlpha)
** Message:
I cannot reproduce this on natty, closing this bugreport

I'm having this problem too, on both of my systems. One uses an ATI
Mobility Radeon x1300 and the other some Intel chip. So it doesn't seem
to be related to the video card.

can reproduce that issue as well. It may be specific to nouveau users. I
do not have these issues on another up to date Maverick machine which
uses the
As I just noted in the above linked bug report (#561734), once I install
libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental I can run the example script without crash.
I'm using nouveau on an up to date Maverick.

I get something similar though slightly different. The output of running
examples/gtk-clutter.py is:
