I downloaded F-Spot 0.32 and built it and it did not have this problem.
It appears to include its own version of DBUS-Sharp (rather than using
the currently unmaintained dbus-mono binding).
Should be fixed in Feisty though.

I fixed my problem. I'm not sure if you guys are dealing with the same
thing, but what happened to me goes like this:
-I had f-spot before
-I re-installed to edgy and got a newer version of f-spot
-newer f-spot uses a newer sqlite database
-the newer sqlite database doesn't und

There are two different bugs here - one is failures on the live cd (as
show by strace). Fabio, can you give some more information please, in a

There was a new f-spot version upload, with the note, that a bug related
to mono was fixed. But obviously no this one, still crashing for me!

Backtrace like that isn't very helpful at the moment without the
terminal output, which apport doesn't collect. If you could run it from
a terminal (as shown above) and put the results here, it'd be
appreciated. Also, I presume you're running this installed, not from a
live cd?

I was one of the 3 IRC reporters. In my case f-spot starts up OK while
booted to a vanilla Edgy Knot 3 installation however it crashes (with
the messages shown above) when running it from the LiveCD on the same
machine (Dell Inspiron 500m notebook),
