Thanks for your bugreport.
I can not reproduce this behaviour on a fresh edgy install. Neither apt-
get nor aptitude want to remove upstart and friends here when I mark
vim-tiny for removal.

apt-get autoremove probably shouldn't remove upstart. I know it's not
Essential for various reasons, but it's not particularly good for it to
be automatically removed either.
