Quick follow-up, I understand the cosmeticality of this issue. However,
if someone did the same thing they would come across it. At best, this
is a wishlist.

After about 20 minutes of installing different packages, it is now
prompting me again to input my password to access Synaptic. At this
point, this bug is considered closed as it seems the functionality was
not broken, it just took some time for it to kick in.
