Public bug reported: Yesterday I made a test.
- 3 recent 13.3" notebook. 1 with Win 7 installed 1 with Mac OS X and 1 with Ubuntu 10.04 and Kernel Linux 2.6.32-24 generic (DE Gnome with network manager installed) All notebooks have last updates and stable drivers releases. - All notebooks had a Intel Wifi 5300 device - 2 Modem wireless (open, no WEP no WPA) Linksys WAG320N at 5 meters and at 15-20 meters. The first two notebook saw both the modems (the secondo with a signal power of 50-60%) while my notebook with ubuntu saw only the first modem at 5 meters. Is it a driver/kernel bug or what else? Thanks in advance for your attention. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Poor wifi range with Ubuntu 10.04 and Kernel Linux 2.6.32-24 generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620997 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
