Make sure you have correct (same) workgroup in /etc/samba/smb.conf
If you alter the configuration file, restart samba service with 'sudo
invoke-rc.d samba restart'
Your problem sounds like a issue in network-admin instead.

Upps, I just retried it using the same steps. After the first click on
the workgroup I got the error message reported in bug 63102. However
this time the icon changed from a blank page icon to a network computer
icon. I was able to click on it and could browse the computer in the
workgroup.

I'm not sure what you mean by the icons changing.
I cannot browse the computer - even if I enter the address manually. Using
smbclient on command line works though...
