Hello, I've got this problem too. Wireless works, so does connecting
with wifi. The signal appears grey on all bars. iwconfig works
We all seem to have Dell Inspiron's too. Integrated wireless.
Machine: Dell Inspiron 1150 Laptop
Wifi adapter: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN
We now have two cases where iwconfig reports signal level, and iwlist
shows '0' for signal level.
