Rosetta is not capable of handling suggestions in a right way. They just
get lost there. So I would encourage to use the bug tracker. Assign the
bug to the correct language-pack please.

Boot menu on Install CD contains wrong german translation "Start or install
K/X/EDU/Ubuntu" to "K/X/EDU/Ub
translation bugs are not supposed to be manage using malone, as far as I
know. If so, please fix the documentation and point me to the
documentation of the new procedure for translations. thanks :)
Documentation that says translations are not supposed to be tracked in
malone: https://wiki.ubuntu.c
Fixed in Rosetta.

if you can email the German translators, I'm sure they can go ahead and
confirm the suggestions. the email list is at http://master.ubuntu-
eu.org/mailman/listinfo/translators-de
their email address is: translators-de@ubuntu-eu.org
their wiki page (maybe scan it before emailing?):
https://wiki.ub
Ok, added it to rosetta, hope it's still possible to fix before edgy
release.
There are also five untranslated messages that have suggestions that
seem to be fine, so if someone with access to it could add them, we'd
have a 100% german translation of "gfxboot-theme-ubuntu"

Thanks for your comment. Ubuntu gets its translations from
http://launchpad.net/rosetta. This is the place where translation teams
actively work on making Ubuntu more useful in their language. If you want
to change a certain text, Rosetta is the right place for it.
** Changed in: gfxboot-theme-ubu
Please fix these in Rosetta
(https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/edgy/+source/gfxboot-theme-
ubuntu/+translations) and I'll pick up the fix before release.

Sourcepackagename: ubiquity => gfxboot-theme-ubuntu
