Public bug reported: Hi. I've tried both the default and "failsafe graphics" boot options with the new Flight 3 cd, and in both cases after seeing the boot splash-screen progress bar advance for a bit, I get a black screen, and my computer is unresponsive.
I've had this problem in Debain when using the xserver-xorg-video-ati driver, (even the latest version in debian 'testing'), which I presume Ubuntu is trying to use. In my experience in debian, disabling the "load dri" line in xorg.conf seems to fix it, but there's no way to do this when using the Desktop CD, so I'm going to try the altrenate install.
