Hi. I've tried both the default and "failsafe graphics" boot options
with the new Flight 3 cd, and in both cases after seeing the boot
splash-screen progress bar advance for a bit, I get a black screen, and
my computer is unresponsive.

I've had this problem in Debain when using the xserver-xorg-video-ati
driver, (even the latest version in debian 'testing'), which I presume
Ubuntu is trying to use. In my experience in debian, disabling the "load
dri" line in xorg.conf seems to fix it, but there's no way to do this
when using the Desktop CD, so I'm going to try the altrenate install.

(system specs: athlon xp 2500+, abit nf7-s motherboard, sapphire radeon
9600xt, 512mb ram)
