Thanks. Let me clarify, the answer that gbrainy is giving and accepting
as valid is correct: 9/36 (or equivalent).
What is wrong is the explanation of the valid answer:
There are 9 of 36 possibilities of getting an even number
it should say:
There are 9 of 36 possibilities of getting
Agreed, and the new explanation is correct.
However I think it could be stated in simpler terms – say, There are 9 of 36
possibilities of getting two even numbers.

(having even numbers in both dices) must happen simultaneously.

The answer that gbrainy is giving is incorrect. Getting an even number
is not both event, and has nothing to do with conditional probability,
it's just one event. 9/36 is the probability of getting TWO even
numbers.
