Public bug reported:

I am not sure which package this bug should be filed against (udev,
lvm2, or the installer). Using the Knot 3 installer on an lvm system,
my fstab looked like this:

# /dev/mapper/ubuntu-root
UUID=15e5bc76-3c43-43a8-b38e-4fafb270b3f1 /               ext3    defaults,error
s=remount-ro 0       1
/dev/sda5       /boot           ext3    defaults        0       2
# /dev/mapper/ubuntu-home
UUID=13f40195-6c08-4350-8eb4-2cd5a9a42885 /home           ext3    defaults
  0       2

And so on. Mounting of these lvm volumes failed on the first boot. I
had to manually replace the UUIDs with the /dev path for it to mount
them on boot.

** Affects: lvm2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
