No, the ptrace restrictions only exist on Maverick kernels. The empty
crash report directory is a completely normal part of the Firefox
profile. This bug was referring to sending empty crash reports to
Mozilla.

Could this also be affecting FF 3.6.9 in Lucid? I have noticed a "Crash
Reports" directory appearing now under the main "Firefox" one all the
time now..
