Ok... it is not theme specific. Sorry about the confusion. Now the crash
happens and is very repeatable.
Try logging out and logging back in. Launch terminal and try the "always
on" option. It should crash.
I got this enty in syslog.log

It just happened with the "Dust Sand" theme. Will continue using the
Ambiance (dark theme) to see if it causes any trouble.
