But in Maverick+1 music-applet can be removed as it done in Maverick, so
no double packages will be present.
This is not a showstopper for release and ppa available for people that need it
badly.
Only ordinary people left without music player control from panel for
half-a-year.

Bringing back music-applet would definitely be a bad idea. Panflute
will be automatically synced from Sid when Maverick+1 is open for
development and I don't want to have 2 packages which do the same
thing in the archive.
The main reason I'm inclined to reject this is because I doubt that you

If Maverick release will be out without panflute, let's bring back music-applet
package, which was in previous releases, have a good history and removed only
because of panflute inclusion.
Without it this will be a clear regression from previous release.

Is there any strong reason why we should add this package at this point
in the release cycle? Could you please provide more information?
If there is no strong reason for it I recommend getting panflute through
backports once Maverick+1 is open for development.
