Public bug reported: Hi,
First I tried to install postfix dependencies using. apt-get build-dep postfix But this command failed with an error. (But I could not write down the error). After that gcc stopped working. I looked at synpatic package manager. gcc was available in it. Then I tried to upgrade gcc. But still it gave an error. Removing and reinstalling also failed. Finally i tried to upgrade ubuntu to varsion 10 from 9 using Update Manager. Everything worked fine except for gcc. Update Manager also reported the problem automatically.
