Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
konsole: 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu2

I expect that konsole sessions are showed by who command, but
they are not. I have two konsole windows with several sessions
in each, but who still shows:

$ who
andrey   pts/0        2010-09-04 19:55 (:0)

If I open xterm session it works as expected:

$ who
andrey   pts/0        2010-09-04 19:55 (:0)
andrey   pts/9        2010-09-07 22:36 (:0.0)

According to kdebase-4.4.2/user-doc/historic/README.utmp
records in utmp are created by kwrited, but only if utempter
is available.

Neither of konsole or kde-workspace-bin have dependencies
on libutempter0. I suspect that handing of utmp was not compiled.

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
