I should add to that comment that the icon being displayed is the
generic icon associated with deb files, rather than a gdebi icon as
such.

Hi! Thanks for your bug report. Sadly, we won't be able to do anything
about this in software-center as the 'opening s-c' item is not actually
handled by s-c. In addition to that, this is consistent behaviour across
all files opened via nautilus: first the generic icon for the mimetype
is used, and
I have confirmed this behavior on 10.10 Beta x64. For me this icon only
appeared while Software Center was loading and then transitioned to the
Software Center icon once Software Center was fully loaded.
