Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? May you try to reproduce it with a newer version of Ubuntu like
Gutsy? you can

It think it's not only hanging after deleting files but after working in
f-spot a few minutes...
But this was just displayed in the terminal after deleting a few photos
(and f-spot hangs):
