I ran apport-collect 635915 using a terminal window and it sent me to Launchpad login service. I scrolled down to eMail address and entered my eMail address but it would not let me scroll any further to the password entry slot. All keys are locked. I guess I should have reviewed the instructions first! Did this send the crash file to you? To get out I hit the reset button and then logged into my system again to see if there was a file in /usr/crash. There was: it was named: fglrx.0.crash.
Unfortunately I have forgotten how to send eMail directly from the terminal so typed it directly into this eMail. So here are the salient points. fglrx.0.crash DKMS make .log for fglrx-8.723.1 for kernel 2.6.35-20-generic-pae (i686) AMD kernel module generator version 2.1 cat: /lib/modules/2.6.35-20-generic-pae/build/include/linux/utsrelease.h: No such file or directory. Error: kernel includes at /lib/modules/2.6.35-20-generic-pae/build/include do not match current kernel. they are versioned as "" instead of "2.6.35-20-generic-pae". you might need to adjust your sumlinks: - /usr/include - /usr/src/linux Date ... ErrorMessage: fglrx kernel module failed to build. Package: fglrx PackageVersion: 2:8.723.1-0ubuntu4 SourcePackage: fglrx-installer I guess this is indicating one of the .config files is incorrect? How specifically can I fix it? Hope the above helps. gfh On Sun, 2010-09-12 at 22:39 +0000, kurt belgrave wrote: > Assigning to xorg > Can you please run for me > apport-collect 635915 > Cheers > > ** Package changed: ubuntu => xorg (Ubuntu) > -- No GUI only terminal mode with 10.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/635915 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
