I've already tried to restore GRUB using a live CD of Lucid, I've tried to chroot to my system partition (after binding /dev, /proc and /sys) to reinstall the kernel but nothing worked. With a live CD of Maverick my hard disk doesn't show up in Gparted and it doesn't even show up in the /dev
