this happens to me too, so i shut down my netbook everytime. sometimes
it's freezing until the recovery is done.

Update: I tried running it a third time; I got the document recovery screen -
presumably to try to recover the empty document created the last time it
crashed. This worked fine, but once I told it to skip the recovery the desktop
froze again - probably right at the point when the window should
