I asked for a more detailed description a year and a half ago, and
there's been no reply, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this
bug. Torsten, please reopen if you can provide an accurate description
of what you experienced (besides anger).

There is not enough information here to fix the bug. Instead of claiming
that we should lump a load of bugs together (a suggestion often made by
novices, but best checked carefully by those familiar with the software
in case it causes a number of bugs with similar symptoms to be wrongly
treated as
