Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: phonon

Kubuntu 10.10 beta + updates through 9/14/10

I recently purchased a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 with a built-in
microphone that connects via USB. The device appears in the list of
capture devices when I run systemsettings and examine the Phonon
configuration along with the microphone input on the motherboard.
However I cannot select this device as my preferred choice for audio
capture. If I highlight any of the capture options in the tree and
select the Webcam 9000, the "Apply" button remains disabled.

This remains true even if I run 'sudo systemsettings' from the command
prompt. I cannot change the device either as a normal user or as root.
