Ok so everyone is for doing this pam, I found a (slightly) better place to do this than gdm anyway. Someone should make note if this is done in pam to remove the related lines in ~/.bash_profile too. I applied a patch instead of to gdm, too: /etc/X11/Xsession.d/99x11-common_start [EMAIL PROTECTED]
