Thank you Serverin for pointing this out. As it's a bit late to change
the size of the icons now, I have updated the loader to load the
correctly sized icons as per Serverin's recommendations.
For icon size changes for Natty, please open another bug and "also
affects" ayatana-design, thanks!

I also like the version with the 32px icons better. I would additionally
recommend to also create 32px versions of the special icons
(applications, files, trash) as they are currently only available in
48px.

that the quality of the icon rendering at the moment is a big weakness.

The bug report has been linked to a branch that contains the proposed
2-character fix. Of course, having no knowledge about the internals of
Unity, I'm not sure whether the fix negatively affects other components
of Unity.
