I am marking this as invalid for the paper cuts project as a paper cut
should be a minor design flaw in a package that is included in a Ubuntu
installation, rather than a problem with installing a new one. This is
simply a normal bug.

after upgrading to Lucid yesterday I realised that wicd was behaving strangely
and refused to associate, ending in a 'Wrong password' error message.

My wife's Dell 1420N was working well with Wicd for a couple years .Two
days ago when we had the normal Kubuntu 10.04 updates, it's using wicd-
daemon 1.7.0+ds1-2 + linux-image-2.6.32.24-generic it stopped working
with the "bad password" error.
We tried totally removing everything associated w
@PaJoe: Please file a new bug report for that issue. This report is
filed because completely purging network-manager causes wi-cd to not be
able to be used. It does not address the "wi-cd quit working with
updates" issue at all. Thanks.
