Since this Is reported to be working correctly now and the original bug
is for Edgy which is no longer supported. I am changing the status to

I can also confirm this bug. When the partition manager starts, it
recognizes my 2nd HD (which is hdb), and offers to reformat the drive.
However, I already had 3 partitions on this drive (1 ntfs, 1 swap, and 1
ext3) and don't want to loose the ntfs partition. When I go to manually
edit the parti
I confirm this bug: even though all SATA or SCSI disks are recognized by
the kernel when loading edgy-beta from the desktop CD (disk devices
exist and can be mounted), only the first SATA/SCSI disk (/dev/sda) can
be used by gparted during installation ("manual partition editing")
