Sounds like the devices are using the headset service, which is made
for telephony. If you want to play audio you need to connect to the
audio sink or a2dp profile.
Try to install 'blueman' and open System/Preferences/Bluetooth
Manager. That should give you more control.

Hi, not sure if that is related to this bug. I'm not experiencing
skipping - it just plays in low quality, kind of sounds like the
speakers are underwater.
