This should be fully fixed in Oneiric but you may have flickering
issues, please see bug 810093 for details but the actual brightness
control works. Please open a new bug if the actual brightness control
isn't working for you. Feel free to continue to report any other bugs
you may find.

Instead of opening a new bug I'm bumping this one.
On the very same netbook (Samsung N210) with the last daily-live media for
Natty, a similar issue happens to me :
Despite some keys combinations like Fn + Left/Right work (that properly adjust
