Yup. Cant paste simple text lines from MatLab. Pastes fine in gedit or other
software.
Paste option basically inactive.
Pasting from firefox works flawlessly (just tested from this edit box).
Ubuntu 9.10 + xubuntu desktop package, but working under gnome.

Lyxpipe has got nothing to do with it, it's for pushing citations from
bibliography database. meanwhile I noticed that on my other computer lyx
1.5.6 is not affected

I have the same problem. none of the options in the Edit menu show up,
and when I press Ctrl-V, lyx says "Command Disabled" in the bottom
status bar. I have been using lyx for over 5 years, I remember I had to

While I have copied text from somewhere (not LyX) non of the menu items

Copy paste actually appears to work from KWord into LyX (1.5.6), but

I'm experiencing I think the same issue with LyX on Xubuntu Intrepid
8.10.
I'm unable to copy paste text from OpenOffice to LyX at all. Simple text
paragraphs without any graphics.
I'm able to paste them elsewhere (e.g. into Mousepad).
Switching to LyX shows no recognition that there's anything
Can't reproduce on lyx 1.5.0 too.
