At this point, for having used NM specifically on a 3G connection just
to be able to use a VPN in a specially restricted environment, it seems
to be working properly.
Is anyone still seeing this bug on 12.10 or 13.04?

I am not posting this as a bug, but one of my users. Why does this
package not adhere to standards? You can push forward to Quantal and
witness identical results.

NetworkManager fails to list VPN nameserver addresses before addresses
on mobile broadband
Confirming, this is an easily reproducible bug; but I don't think it's
really NetworkManager's fault. What seems to happen is that dns data is
written out to resolv.conf directly by pppd; which affects both mobile
connections and PPTP VPNs.

Importance: Undecided
It's hard to say, if the bug is present, since I have no access to a VPN
server that gives out it's own DNS records anymore. Maybe someone with
an access can test?
But since Ubuntu has moved to internal DNS resolver, I suppose this
should be fixed now.
